Diploma in Nursing

Sheth V.S. General Hospital runs School of Nursing for Diploma in General Nursing & is recognized by Indian Nursing Council & Gujarat Nursing Council.

This is a 3.5 Years professional Diploma Course in Nursing. Students who pass 12th std., with science stream are eligible for admission to this course.

Admission to this course start During April-May & the terms start on 1st September of every year. Students from this school get the professional training at V.S. General Hospital. There is a 6 months internship after completion of 3 years of training.

The school has 90% passing ratio from amongst the admitted students. The students have very decent compound residential accommodation and are encourage to actively participate in field work, community medicine, NSS, besides indoor & outdoor games & nursing activities of continued Nursing programmes & exhibition at State & National level.

Shortly the school intends to implement speciality certificate course in Nursing to add the academic training after the internship training.

'Suresh Brahmkumar Bhatt College of Physiotherapy' - a Self Finance College of Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital, Ahmedabad, was incepted on 25th May 1999. It is affiliated to Gujarat University and recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP). The apex body for physiotherapy in the country, which is the member of World Confederation of Physiotherapists (WCPT).

The college offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy(B.Physio.) Degree course, which is a 4.25 years Full time course inclusive of 6 months compulsory rotating internship. The students passing B.Physiotherapy examination from the Universities other than Gujarat also prefer this College for doing their Internship by paying the requisite fees.

Intake capacity is of 30 students every year. Total five years have been completed and first batch has come out. Every year student has bagged first and second rank in the University. The fee structure is as per the rules of Government of Gujarat and Gujarat University.

The college is utilizing the facilities of the faculty of Anatomy, Physiology and Pharmacology from Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College and for other clinical subjects; the faculty of Sheth K.M. School of PG Medicine & Research is giving their teaching services to the students of Physiotherapy College.

Students get practical clinical training in the well equipped Department of Physiotherapy, having eleven members of the staff, where the patients are referred from the different OPDs as well as Wards of Sheth V.S. General Hospital, which is a 1085 bedded, tertiary care, multi-speciality Hospital, one of the most popular General hospitals in the Country.

A Medical Laboratory Technician(M.L.T.) Certificate course for 1 year is running in this institution. Total 70 students are given admission for each year in this course. The students who completes the course successfully receives the Certificate.
