Indoor patients are admitted in Speciality Ward No. 14 and ICCU for the treatment of Arrythmias, Heart Failures, Coronary artery Disease, Hypertension, Pericardial Effusion, Mitral Valve and Aortic valve diseases, Congenital defects like A.S.D., V.S.D., etc.
 
 
Special Facilities :

Ultramodern centrally airconditioned Intensive Coronary Care Unit with accommodation of 10 beds, with sophisticated equipments on each bed like Bedside Cardiac Monitor, Defibrillator, Central Oxygen, Suction machine.

The services of Resident doctors and Nurses are available in the ward round the clock along with the facilities of central monitoring and Mobile X-ray Unit.Other gadgets are ventilator, infusion pump & pulse oxymeter.

The best treatment is provided to the patients of Heart attack, Cardiogenic shock and Arrythmias etc. in the ICCU.

 
 
Special Treatment :
 

The facilities of Thrombolysis treatment are provided to the patients of heart attack and for diagnosis necessary laboratory investigations such as C.P.K. - M.B., Prothrombin time, etc. are available in ICCU.

In case of Cardiac arrests, facilities are available for implantation of pacemaker.
 
 
Equipments :

For the diagnosis of the heart diseases, the following sophisticated equipments are available in ICCU :


Computerized Treadmill :

  » To test efficiency of heart.
  » Facility for 24 hours Cardiac monitoring available as      Holter monitor.
  » Facility to measure late potential and single average      ECG available to detect potential candidates for      heart attack.
 

2-D Echo with Colour Doppler :

  » To detect diseases of the heart, e.g. Chamber       enlargement, Stenosis or leakage of valves;       congenital heart diseases like A.S.D., V.S.D.,       P.D.A., etc., Pericardial Effusion, blood clots, MVP,       Tumour, Endocarditis, pumping function of heart       etc.

  » We have the facilities of Transoesophageal Echo       Cardiography.

  » The special facility of Stress Echocardiography        which can diagnose the Coronary artery disease is        also available.
 
I.I.T.V. :

  » We have ultramodern I.I.T.V. through which pacemaker can be implanted immediately in       emergency.
 
 

Peripheral Angiography can be done on IITV through which diseases of the vessels supplying The limb is known. It also has a special Facility of Digital Subtractions Angiography.(D.S.A.)

All the above facilities are provided at concessional rates.

On establishing the Cardiac Cath-Lab, Coronary Angiography, Coronary Angioplasty and Balloon Valvoplasty can be done at the concessional rate for poor and non-affording patients of the community.
